In this raw and reflective episode, I write a farewell letter to a version of myself that once believed the world—and the women in it—played fair. Dear Naïveté dives into the painful but necessary lessons learned through betrayal, infidelity, and the harsh reality that not every woman shares the same values, respect, or integrity. I talk candidly about the woman who crossed every boundary, the man who handed her the key—literally—and the terrifying moment my child was hidden from me as leverage.
This episode is not just a goodbye to blind trust—it’s a reclaiming of wisdom, boundaries, and resilience. If you’ve ever had to confront the uncomfortable truth that some people thrive on destruction, this one’s for you.
Plus, I share a personal update on the mission behind Her Resilient Voice Inc. and how we’re working to create real, lasting support for survivors of domestic violence—starting now with coaching, and soon expanding into legal aid and more.
Listen in. Let go. And never apologize for outgrowing your naivety.
In this episode of Her Resilient Voice, I reflect on my journey with resilience—how it emerged in moments of pain, survival, and ultimately, growth. From childhood struggles with a congenital defect to the unimaginable loss of my brother, resilience showed up, sometimes out of sheer spite, refusing to let me fall. I share the moments that tested me most: navigating grief, reclaiming my health, surviving domestic violence, and finding my voice in a system that wasn’t always willing to hear it. Through it all, I discovered that resilience isn’t just about enduring hardship—it’s about rising, speaking, and owning the strength that hardship builds.
Join me as I explore what it means to be shaped, not shattered, and how resilience became both my shield and my voice.
