The Bible shows us very clearly: Jesus was all about relationships. In fact, during his time on earth, Jesus rebuked the religious elite because they were using the law and religious practices to exalt themselves, completely missing God’s heart for His people. Can we, as believers, fall into the same trap? Are we prioritizing moral checklists and good optics over intimacy with God and those He calls us to love? God loves it when we serve Him. He loves our ministry efforts. He loves it when we spend our time and talents to further the Kingdom. But sometimes in all our doing for the Lord, we can lose sight of His heart and as a result, we can lose sight of His people.
