  • How did the USMNT perform in the Nations League window?

On today’s show, we are going to discuss the USMNT’s performance in their recently completed Nations League window. Last Friday, they beat Grenada 7-1 on the road and Monday night they defeated El Salvador 1-0 at home. That has qualified them for the CONCACAF Nations League Final Four that gets underway on June 15 in Las Vegas.

To help me break down this Nations League window, I’ve invited Kyle Bonn to join the show. Kyle is a writer for The Sporting News and has over a decade of experience covering the sport of soccer globally. He also does TV broadcasts for Wake Forest soccer. You can follow Kyle on Twitter at: @the_bonnfire

Anthony Hudson is the USMNT interim head coach and that's likely to be the case through the summer.

He's been a national team head coach twice before, most recently with New Zealand from 2014 to 2017. What was he like as a coach there and how did it go?

I’ve invited Michael Burgess on the show to talk through those very questions. Michael is a sports writer for the New Zealand Herald and he’s won the award for New Zealand football writer of the year six times. He was closely covering the national team while Anthony Hudson was in charge. You can find him on Twitter at @mikeburgess99.
