Episode two of the second season of Here Comes A Thought is here!!
The Crew examines Love Letters and Reformed. The first revolves around Jamie and his infatuation with Garnet. Kat and Gian discuss boundaries and the importance of language in written communication. This language topic is carried over to the next episode where Kat and Marc discuss the difference between reformed and REformed and how the different pronunciations have different meanings. These meanings are then used to examine Amethyst as she confronts her own psyche through the Crying Breakfast Friends Quiz!

The crew is back for Season 2!
We discuss Full Disclosure and Joyride. Two episodes all about how Steven copes with the trauma of last season’s finale. We talk about the value of situational awareness and developing appropriate coping skills. Kat praises Greg for having a structured emotional regulation plan in place although ultimately it wasn’t fully well executed. Marc talks about Steven’s character growth as his sense of community and responsibility begins to blossom. Gian analyses the relationship Steven has with the Cool kids and how it reflects Steven’s relationship with the Crystal Gems.

Greg and Steven start creating music about Lapis Lazuli when the wailing stone starts WAILING, which freaks everyone out. At first, Greg feels he shouldn’t get involved but Steven believes this is a problem he can solve. We all have that one person we want to impress for Greg it’s the Crystal Gems. Greg has messed up in the past and wants to help them now so that he can prove that he is not a constant screw up.
When is it better to tell the truth about something big that is happening versus lying to protect someone from being scared of the unknown. Steven sees the difference from both points of view in political power.

Another special episode with a special guest *insert fanfare* Lauren Keller. We are talking about Steven Universe THE MOVIE. We have feelings. All of the feelings. Big Feelings. This is a reaction episode. This is a SPOLIERIFIC episode be prepared. We talk about some of our thoughts with Steven consistently having to clean up his mother’s messes. But there is no deep dive into psychology. Just us showing our love for Steven Universe, the music, the artwork, and of course the actors.

Amethyst feels as if she doesn’t belong, Steven and her go on a quest just like the “No Home Boys.” Hay is not comfortable. Steven learns about the Kindergarten. Pearl finally tells Amethyst she belongs, in a sort of backhanded way.
Lars is jealous of Sadie having any friends other than him and when he hears that Sadie is going to a party with Steven and Reynoldo he has to go to, just because Sadie can’t have other friends. We get to see the beginning of Lars low self-esteem and get to discuss how trauma can leave a scar.
