The Men's T20 World Cup has begun in India and Sri Lanka, so what better time to chat with Lalit Modi, the man who revolutionised the world of Indian cricket and arguably world sport with the creation and launch of the T20 Indian Premier League. Even if you're not a fan of cricket it's a fascinating dive into Lalit's career: launching a JV with the Walt Disney Company and creating the Pay TV business in India with ESPN; negotiating sports rights with Rupert Murdoch and later with Sony Entertainment Television; re-thinking the cricket business to attract younger and female audiences and dominating Prime Time; and harnessing the power of celebrity to create a mass market property. For anyone interested in creating a paradigm shift in media value it's a must-listen. Enjoy!
