• Alibaba (BABA) - Chinese stocks were sharply higher across the board Wednesday. China's top financial policy body issued a statement that suggested it would ensure stability in capital markets and support overseas stock listings. Other Chinese stocks that moved higher included DiDi Global (DIDI), Luokong Technology (LKCO) and KE Holdings (BEKE).
• Phunware (PHUN) - Shares were up 5% Wednesday morning following news from the company it will provide an online form enabling shareholders to direct their brokerages not to loan out company securities. The initiative is designed to restrict short selling in the company's stock.
• Weber (WEBR) - One of the most-shorted stocks, according to Benzinga's proprietary short interest scanner.
• Piedmont Lithium (PLL) - Compoany CEO, Keith Phillips, will appear on Benzinga's "Benzinga Live" YouTube show on Friday of this week, around 12 p.m. EDT.
• Digital World Acquisition Corp. (DWAC) - A sympathy play following the news out of Phunware. Shares of Digital World and Phunware have been clumped together in a trading group as Phunware previously announced deals with Trump Media..
