Well “Here We Are”!! Season 1 is officially coming to a close with our friends Landon and Jeff! Co founders of the Band “Acadian Summer”. These two gentlemen gave us many laughs and light hearted fun that we know you will enjoy as much as we did while also sharing their passion. They produce out of Jeff’s very own Green Room Studios presenting their edgy Progressive Rock/ Metal project which calls back to the driving sounds of bands such as Pantera and Metallica while giving you the melodic vocals that will connect you to the reminiscent glory days of TOOL and a perfect circle and yet you will realize as we did that they bring a new and fresh perspective to the genre all their own! They also brought us a special gift to the studio we cant wait for you to hear about! stick around for our longest and music filled episode to date and give you a jam-packed episode that wont disappoint! As always, we hope you enjoy!Doug & Rob

Episode 8 of Here We Are SWLA features Ganey Arsement.Meeting Ganey was quite the experience as he shared his story and heart felt original songs with us while imparting much of his wisdom and passions throughout his career.Working for nearly twenty years as a bassist in great Cajun bands such as Balfa Toujours and the Basin Brothers, he has shared the stage with Doug Kershaw, Jo-EL Sonnier and many others. After a series of events led him to an opportunity to move to the front of the stage, a reluctant Ganey was reminded by a friend of a French poem he had written while in college pursuing his degree in English literature. In 2009, he showcased his songwriting skills in the form of a full length recording with his acoustic Cajun trio, the LakeSide Gamblers.

As always we hope you enjoy it as much as we did and can’t wait for you to meet our guest, Ganey Arsement!

He shares not only the journey of an artist developing ones work but that of conviction, loss and healing to help through the difficult seasons we all may and have faced ourselves.
