Do you hold the expectation that your relationship must check off all of your fulfillment boxes? How about your job, are you telling yourself that your job must be the perfect alignment of your passions, gifts and talents? I don't know where I picked up this story, but somewhere in my life I convinced myself that my partners (girlfriends and then wife), were SUPPOSED to fulfill me in every way: sexually, emotionally, mentally, socially, and every other way I can think of.
