2. By the power that is given.

Luke 9:1 Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases.

Matthew 28:18-19 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

Acts 1:8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

3. By the preaching that is done.

Luke 9:2 He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.

Cristianos no deben perder la esperanza:

1. Aún bajo las circunstancias más dificiles. 

• Lucas 8:42 porque tenía una hija única, como de doce años, que se estaba muriendo.
• Job 13:15a He aquí, aunque él me matare, en él esperaré; 
• Isaias 26:3 Tú guardarás en completa paz a aquel cuyo pensamiento en ti persevera; porque en ti ha confiado.

2. Aún después de haber hecho todo lo humanamente posible.

• Lucas 8:43 Pero una mujer que padecía de flujo de sangre desde hacía doce años, y que había gastado en médicos todo cuanto tenía, y por ninguno había podido ser curada,
• Mateo 11:28 Venid a mí todos los que estáis trabajados y cargados, y yo os haré descansar.
• 2 Corintios 12:9 Y me ha dicho: Bástate mi gracia; porque mi poder se perfecciona en la debilidad. Por tanto, de buena gana me gloriaré más bien en mis debilidades, para que repose sobre mí el poder de Cristo.

Main Point: God is glorified as His children never lose hope in Him.

Christians need not lose hope:

1. Even in the toughest of circumstances. 

• Luke 8:42a for he had an only daughter about twelve years of age, and she was dying.
•  Job 13:15 Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him. Even so, I will defend my own ways before Him.
• Isaiah 26:3 You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.

2. Even after you’ve done everything humanly possible.

• Luke 8:43 Now a woman, having a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her livelihood on physicians and could not be healed by any,
• Matthew 11:28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
• 2 Corinthians 12:9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

3. Because God has unlimited power.

• Luke 8:46 But Jesus said, “Somebody touched Me, for I perceived power going out from Me.”
• Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
• 2 Chronicles 20:6 and said: “O Lord God of our fathers, are You not God in heaven, and do You not rule over all the kingdoms of the nations, and in Your hand is there notpower and might, so that no one is able to withstand You?

4. Even when everyone else seems to have. 

• Luke 8:52-53 Now all wept and mourned for her; but He said, “Do not weep; she is not dead,but sleeping.” 53 And they ridiculed Him, knowing that she was dead.
• 2 Timothy 4:16-17a At my first defense no one stood with me, but all forsook me. May it not be charged against them.17 But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that the message might be preached fully through me, and that all the Gentiles might hear.

5. Because God does what He pleases and He’s compassionate.

• Luke 8:54-55a But He put them all outside, took her by the hand and called, saying, “Little girl, arise.” 55 Then her spirit returned, and she arose immediately.
• Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
• Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

1. Me creó.

• Isaias 43:7 todos los llamados de mi nombre; para gloria mía los he creado, los formé y los hice.

 2. Me amó.

• Juan 3:16 Porque de tal manera amó Dios al mundo, que ha dado a su Hijo unigénito, para que todo aquel que en él cree, no se pierda, mas tenga vida eterna.
• Gálatas 2:20 Con Cristo estoy juntamente crucificado, y ya no vivo yo, mas vive Cristo en mí; y lo que ahora vivo en la carne, lo vivo en la fe del Hijo de Dios, el cual me amó y se entregó a sí mismo por mí.
• Romanos 5:8 Mas Dios muestra su amor para con nosotros, en que siendo aún pecadores, Cristo murió por nosotros.

 3. Me salvó.

 4. Me transformó.

 5. Me ha preparado un lugar.

• Filipenses 3:20 Mas nuestra ciudadanía está en los cielos, de donde también esperamos al Salvador, al Señor Jesucristo;

God is glorified through our testimony of His power and love in our lives.

 What has God done for me?

1. He created me.

• Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”
• Psalm 139:13-15 For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. 14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. 15 My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
• Isaiah 43:7 Everyone who is called by My name, Whom I have created for My glory; I have formed him, yes, I have made him.”

 2. He loved me.

• John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
• Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
• Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

 3. He saved me.

• Titus 3:5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,
• Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God. 
• 1 Timothy 1:15 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.

 4. He transformed me.

• 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
• 1 Corinthians 6:11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.
• Colossians 1:13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,

 5. He has prepared a place for me. 

• John 14:2 In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so,I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
• Philippians 3:20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,
• 2 Corinthians 5:1 For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

Punto Principal: Dios es glorificado cuando confiamos en su fidelidad

Los Cristianos nunca debemos desmayar porque:
1. Todos los problemas som temporales.
2. Dios siempre está en control.
3. Dios es fiel.

Dios es glorificado cuando sus hijos crecen en fe hacia El.

 Nuestra fe crece cuando aprendemos que:

 1. Aveces Dios nos dirije hacia las tormentas.

•  Lucas 8:22 Aconteció un día, que entró en una barca con sus discípulos, y les dijo: Pasemos al otro lado del lago. Y partieron.
•  Salmo 23:4 Aunque ande en valle de sombra de muerte, No temeré mal alguno, porque tú estarás conmigo; Tu vara y tu cayado me infundirán aliento.
•  Job 23:10 Mas él conoce mi camino; Me probará, y saldré como oro.

 2. Jesucristo siempre puede rescatarnos de las tormentas.

• Lucas 8:24 Y vinieron a él y le despertaron, diciendo: ¡Maestro, Maestro, que perecemos! Despertando él, reprendió al viento y a las olas; y cesaron, y se hizo bonanza.
• Salmos 34:4 Busqué a Jehová, y él me oyó, Y me libró de todos mis temores.
• Salmos 34:17 Claman los justos, y Jehová oye, Y los libra de todas sus angustias.

 3. Dios demuestra su poder por medio de las tormentas.

• Lucas 8:25  Y les dijo: ¿Dónde está vuestra fe? Y atemorizados, se maravillaban, y se decían unos a otros: ¿Quién es este, que aun a los vientos y a las aguas manda, y le obedecen?
• Juan 16:33 Estas cosas os he hablado para que en mí tengáis paz. En el mundo tendréis aflicción; pero confiad, yo he vencido al mundo.

Main Point: God is glorified when we trust in His faithfulness.
Christians need not ever give up because:
1. All troubles are temporary
2. God is always in control
3. God is faithful

God is glorified when His children grow in faith toward Him. 

Our Faith Grows when we realize that:

1. God sometimes directs us toward storms.

• Luke 8:22 Now it happened, on a certain day, that He got into a boat with His disciples. And He said to them, “Let us cross over to the other side of the lake.” And they launched out. 
• Psalm 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
• Job 23:10 But He knows the way that I take; When He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold.

 2. Jesus is always able to deliver us from storms.

• Luke 8:24 And they came to Him and awoke Him, saying, “Master, Master, we are perishing!” Then He arose and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water. And they ceased, and there was a calm.
• Psalm 34:4 I sought the Lord, and He heard me, And delivered me from all my fears.
• Psalm 34:17 The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles.

 3. It is through storms that God demonstrates His power.

• Luke 8:25   But He said to them, “Where is your faith?” And they were afraid, and marveled, saying to one another, “Who can this be? For He commands even the winds and water, and they obey Him!”
• John 16:33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
• Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.
