Welcome to the HERHealth Podcast!
In this powerful and important session, we’re joined by Dr. Halina (Lin) Haag, a CIHR Fellow and faculty member in the Faculty of Social Work at Wilfrid Laurier University. Dr. Haag’s work focuses on supporting women survivors of intimate partner violence-related brain injury, a largely hidden but critical public health issue.
Many survivors of intimate partner violence may also be living with the lasting effects of brain injury caused by blows to the head, face, or neck, and through strangulation. This webinar is designed to equip professionals with the knowledge and tools they need to recognize the signs, respond effectively, and provide meaningful support.
Dr. Haag brings not only deep research expertise but also lived experience, making her perspective both powerful and impactful. Her work continues to shape awareness, education, and improved outcomes for survivors across Canada.
