My goal for this message is to apply a pastor's heart to the sheep who are being pushed, pulled and berated along with the tsunami of political bilge and acrimony raging across our nation. So far in the Sermon on the Mount, we have seen Jesus' basic description of a disciple. This whole sermon is His elaboration on the theme -Repent, for the kingdom of heaven it at hand- -4-17-. Those who repent are the ones touched by God who respond with the characteristics He described as -blessed.---1 - You are light- you cannot hide -14-15--2 - Your mission- shine for the glory of God -16-
