Pastor Jackson, talks about “Going After Encounters With God”. What we are talking about today; is not only to happen in church but it is to happen in your house. It is to happen everywhere you are; even when you are in a bad situation, the present of God with you; can protect you and prosper you in a tough situation. Acts 4:13-20, 23-33. John 5:21: For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will. John 6:63, it is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. Having an encounter with God does not mean that you are saved. God uses encounters to draw you but encounters do not mean that you are saved. Mark 10:17, 21-22. An encounter won’t save you, you can get heal by an encounter, you can get bless by an encounter, and you can get delivered by an encounter. Just by having an encounter doesn't means that you are saved.

Pastor Jackson, talks about the word of the Lord spoken through Elijah 1 King 17:15-16. The theme for the year is “Leaning On Jesus”. John 13:23, Now there was leaning on Jesus' bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved. We need to get in a leaning posture, so that we can hear what God is speaking by being an aggressive listener (John 12:28-29). God love you and you’re the one he wants to use. We needs to hear God, because God leads us by his word, God saves us by his word, God heals us by his word. 2 Chronicles 20:20, Believe in the LORD your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper.”

Jesus is our deliverer and Pastor Jackson, talks about the Lord’s Pray: Matthew 6:9-13. He is setting the foundation of deliverance with the following scriptures: Psalms 18:2, Psalms 34:-19, Psalms 37:39-40, Isaiah 54:7-9, 2 Chronicles 32:13, Amos 9:7, Exodus 3:6, and Deuteronomy 8: 11. This is important; there is only one way out, no matter what kind of trouble you’re in, no matter what kind of distress you’re in, there is only one way out. This is the same way every time, there is only one way to Heaven, there is only one way out of sickness, there is only one way out of trouble, one way is called Grace. There is only one God and he is a deliverance God.

In 2014, we will be leaning on Jesus and he is making himself real to people. There is a difference between being a Christian and being religious. Christianity is not a religion, it is a relationship and you have an encounter with the living God. Religion is just a system of rules, regulations, do’s and don’ts. So, you don’t need rules when you know the heart because you have a relationship with him. We have authority even when we sleep and rebuke the Devil in your dreams. It’s so important that we learn to walk in, and actually believe the power that Jesus has. The Devil come to steel, kill, and destroy, but Jesus comes so that you might have Life and have it more abundantly. In your house you have open the door to something’s and the Devil is looking for you. The Devil will trade you trinkets for happiness, righteousness, for holiness. Because if you walk in holiness righteousness; you will have happiness. We are not fighting a technological war but we are fighting a spiritual war. Faith in the resurrection of Jesus; is the key to authority over Devils. Even in your dreams, even in your sleep, you can defeat Devils by faith in the resurrection of Jesus.

It’s God kingdom, it’s our father kingdom and we’re here to secure the kingdom of Heaven on the Earth. Our pray life is important that we’re think personally; what God’s want me to have is for me but our pray life is just about us. It’s about us yes, but we’re here for a purpose; God’s wants all of your needs met because the objective is to win the war. Our Father which art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name, which means God you are holy. We start off our praying with praise and worship not with grumbling and complaining. Why because faith is in our praise and worship; even in our hard times; even when things are hard. A lot of times people miss their answers because in the struggle they are in; they come to God with doubt and unbelief. You have to start by believing that God is good; that God did not bring you trouble. You got to get that because a lot of people teaching and preaching that God bring you trouble in order to strength you. There is so much deception because today if you say the wrong thing people get the wrong ideal and lose faith in God quickly. So, it’s important that you are precise about your faith and God doesn’t bring trouble to teach you something. The reason troubles come is to destroy you, that’s the only reason that it comes. If something bad happen to you, it happens to destroy you; it happens to destroy your dreams, it happens to destroy your relationship, if anything bad happens; the Devil brought it to make you miserable.

Be alert and of sober mind. Adam gave his authority to the Devil; God wanted us to have the authority, so that’s why he sent his son Jesus to take back the authority on the cross. There is major deception that is going around with Christians thinking that God has lost the battle. Behold God, has given to us power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing by any means hurt you. But we are call to reign in this life that God wants us to take the authority he given us and use it. Satan is a spirit bean and he has more power than us but God has given us the authority. In order to walk in authority, we must wear the breastplate of righteousness and once we take it off, the Devil takes our authority. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resists the Devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and he will draw near to you.
