Heritage Sunday Sermons

Throughout the Sermon on the Mount, the LORD highlights that there are two ways to live. For those who are His, He pronounces that they are the salt of the earth. The Lord's Day, we will look to discover what that means and how it applies to us in our age.

Throughout the Old Testament, the scriptures have pointed to "The Day of the Lord". This is the day when the Lord will come to judge the world and also fulfill His covenant promise to His people. This Lord's Day we will look at the final parables recorded in the scripture where the Lord Jesus warns us of the coming day and calls us to be prepared for His coming. We will also consider the signs of a life that is prepared for the coming of the Lord.

This Lord's Day, we continue our Parables series looking at the Persistent Widow. In this parable, we learn the importance of perseverance in prayer and we see the gracious heart of our Heavenly Father Who hears His children's requests.

This Lord's Day we come to one of Jesus' most unusual and challenging parables, one that often leaves readers puzzled because of its shock value. Yet, through this account, the Lord Jesus teaches His disciples a profound lesson about true faithfulness and the wise use of what God has entrusted to them.

This Lord's Day, we continue our Parables series with the Good Samaritan. We all know the story, but do we understand what Jesus was really teaching? Join us as we discover what this famous parable reveals about loving our neighbor and loving our neighbor and living as citizens of God's Kingdom.

This Lord's Day, we continue our time examining the parables of our Lord Jesus Christ. In Matthew 22, Jesus speaks of a wedding feast. The invitation has gone out. The table is prepared. The guests are gathered. But in the end, not every guest is permitted to stay.

This Lord's Day we will continue our study of the parables of Jesus in Matthew 13. We will see how radically countercultural the Kingdom of God is, how precious the King is and what this means for us as individuals if we wish to shine like the sun for all eternity.

What are the secrets of the Kingdom of heaven? Why did Jesus speak in parables? How do I know if I am saved? Join us this Lord's Day as we seek to answer these questions and see what it takes to be a true disciple of Jesus Christ?

This Lord's Day we'll look at the birth of Isaac and see how God's faithfulness to His promises calls His people to respond in obedience and joy, ultimately pointing us to Christ, the promised Son.

Often when God makes a covenant, there is an accompanying sign. But what was the significance of circumcision in God's covenant with Abraham - and what does it mean for us under the New Covenant? This Sunday, we'll explore the sign of circumcision, the reaffirmation of God's promises to Abraham and Sarah, and the sobering warning found in the story of Sodom. A message about covenant, promise, obedience, hospitality and the holiness of God - and what it means for us as His people today.
