In this text, Paul shows how the law is to be used, and contrasts it with the charge he has given Timothy.

Paul begins his letter to Timothy by distinguishing between the aim of gospel preaching and the product of false teaching. This Lord’s Day, we will see the stated apostolic aim for week-by-week gospel teaching.

In his prayer in Psalm 90, Moses reminds us that God is very big, infinitely so, and we are small, significantly so. This Lord’s Day, we consider the voice of Wisdom in Proverbs and the vital call to hear God’s Word and to live by it.

When Simeon sees the baby born to Mary and Joseph, he proclaims that He will be a light to the Gentiles. This Christmas we will consider Christ and the light he brings to the world.
