 In Part 2 of our Killjoy miniseries, Rachel, Emma, & Kevin get more candid than ever before on the h.e.r.LIFE Blogcast. 

Using Sara Ahmed as their Killjoy Guide, the group analyzes her Feminist Killjoy Manifesto and applies it to the #BlackLivesMatter movement. 

After differentiating "killjoy" from "buzzkill," the trio discusses the parallelism between the RA (Resident Assistant) lifestyle and allyship.  Drawing on personal experiences, the group considers how learned behaviors like empathetic listening and "being comfortable with the uncomfortable" can be productive means to kill the joy that needs to be killed in order to make productive change in our lives (and/or the lives of our loved ones).
