In 2018, I decided to launch this podcast. I wanted to discuss my 15 year addiction to drugs and alcohol, and I assumed I would have plenty to say. I made one episode, and then realized I was not ready to be so public. I slid back into the shadows and allowed the one episode to linger for 3 years.
I am now 5.5 years into recovery and I was invited to be on a separate show, Beyond Grit with Robert Young. Robert is my boss and he finally convinced me to sit down and share my story. That episode is live on Wednesday December 1, 2021. I will include the link in the show notes.
After recording, and with the overdose deaths in 2021 being over 100,000, I felt it was time to start talking again. I enjoy my life as a "private figure" and honestly don't plan to make this a huge show. I just hope it reaches the right people who need to hear it in their times of need.
