In this episode we sit down Dr. Patricia Davidson MD, FACP. Dr. Davidson is a medical Internist and Cardiologist, who has a private practice in Washington, DC.
Dr. Davidson attended the University of Michigan, receiving a B.S. degree in Psychology in 1972,and a Masters degree in Chemistry from Atlanta University in 1974. She graduated as the third woman of color in 100 years from the University of Louisville Medical School in 1978. Dr. Davidson is a Diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Davidson served on the faculty of the University of Maryland Medical School as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Hypertension and Cardiology from 1985-1988. She was an Instructorof Medicine at the Howard University Medical School from 1982-1983. She served as a Master
Faculty member for Women and Heart Disease for the American Medical Women’s Association(AMWA).Dr. Davidson is regularly interviewed on radio, television and print media on health and heartdisease. She was featured on Working Women on WRC Channel 4, Tony Brown’s Journal, CNN,BET and all local and national television networks. She is a very popular speaker among national and local organizations on the topic of her greatest passion, heart disease in women, AfricanAmericans and other ethnic populations.
