Living in the midst of a pandemic can teach you so many things. In my case, one learning that really stood out for me was how we should both be "physically and mentally present" when spending time with loved ones or doing tasks and responsibilities in our day to day life. Despite how morbid it sounds, we must live everyday as if it were our last because tomorrow is not promised. Better live and love with no regrets!
Loving yourself in all seasons and in all forms is always easier said than done. It can get extremely challenging, most especially when we are at our lowest and we tend to question every single thing in our lives, including our self-image. Join me as we uncover how we can love and accept ourselves more in midst of all this uncertainty.
You can be the kindest person in this world, but there will always be a few people who will have something to say about you. It can be pretty frustrating and annoying at times, but the great thing is that, you have a way out of this mess! The solution is quite simple actually, and it'll be fun discovering it together. I hope you enjoy yet another relatable episode!
I can't believe it's been a year (and a day) since I started this podcast. Seems like yesterday, when I was debating as to whether or not I should just push through with my plan. How fast time flies! Thank you so much to everyone who has listened and supported this passion project of mine. I may not know you guys personally, but I hope you believe me when I say that you all have a special place in my heart. To more episodes to come! Salamat salamat salamat gid!
Finally back after a quick break to talk about my favorite sitcom, FRIENDS! I guess the hype of the reunion really got to me, so here I am fangirling over the show as if it had just ended yesterday. It's just so difficult to move on from something that had made such a huge impact on my life. Apologies for the first 30 seconds of my podcast proper. My recording app must have been acting up, but after that, it's all good. Happy listening everybody! I hope you like this episode.
Walking away from any relationship is never easy, but walking away from a toxic relationship is even harder! There's just so much that you need to consider, but if you're doing it for your self-worth and happiness, I highly suggest that you go for it. Don't be afraid, instead be empowered to do YOU.
*Trigger Warning: Body Shaming, Disordered Weight & Body Thoughts*
In this episode, I am joined by TikTok Influencer Katrina Palencia as we thoroughly discuss about her past experiences as a "big girl", what motivated her towards fully accepting her body, her plans of putting up an online community for plus-sized men and women, and lastly several words of wisdom that she would like to impart to anybody who is having trouble loving and accepting their body. Kat is a beautiful girl inside and out, and I definitely enjoyed having this conversation with her. It didn't feel like a podcast recording at all! I hope you all enjoy listening to this, the same way we enjoyed putting this all together for you. Have a great day everyone!
"Emotional turbulence" happens when one is in a state of conflict and confusion. During times like this, it's quite difficult to come up with a sound decision on some of our life's dilemmas and transitions because we are torn between so many factors like what may be morally right, what would appease others and most importantly, what will make us ultimately happy. In this episode, join me as we face this turbulence together until smooth and serene skies are in sight!
Overthinking will always be present in our day to day lives, but it can be lessened with the help of healthy, daily routines. Routines don't just keep your mind off of things, but it helps give you a sense of control on the different aspects of your life and even makes you know yourself better. On this episode of the podcast, we talk more about that, in hopes that we may realize that despite the redundancy in our days, there is still so much to look forward to.
In this pandemic era, what can you say about people spending most of their time on social media? Have you ever come across a social media feed that felt "fake" or "pretentious"? As a content creator, why is there a need for authenticity with regards to what you post online? For the 20th episode of the podcast, I am joined by Andie Javelosa, a Digital Content Curator for lifestyle brands and public personalities, as we touch on the topic of managing one's social media footprint in the time of COVID-19, and why mindfulness and even fact checking play an important role in being a responsible "social media user". This is a pretty lengthy episode, but it's definitely worth the listen because of all the wonderful takeaways!
