Hey Kids

It’s part 2 of the Zero Year event. With Dr Death under the thrall of the Riddler, has Batman been thwarted at every turn? Andrew & Micheal continue to read the Bat-Event of the year as the 75th birthday celebrations of the character come to a close.

Casting aside the sacred scrolls that was Frank Miller’s work, SCOTT SNYDER and GREG CAPULLO take the Batman back to the beginning, yet again, for another all-new take on Bruce Wayne’s origins. Micheal & Andrew take a look at the first act, Batman #21-24, the opening chapter of ZERO YEAR.

It’s 1989! Yay! After discussing the worthiness of Coy & Vance Duke, (don’t blame us, blame an email), Micheal & Andrew delve into whatever was happening in comics in 1989. Superman goes into exile in Superman #28, Batman engages in street racing to pump up the Wayne Family fortune in [...]

Adventures Of Superman #424. Detective Comics #573. Amazing Spider-Man #290. Uncanny X-Men #225. What do all these comics have in common? They were all retroactively removed from continuity EXCEPT X-Men #225 which was itself part of a ret-con! Oh, and they were published in 1987. Which is why Andrew and [...]

Donning their life preservers, Andrew and Micheal stop by 1985 to discuss why the name ‘Brad’ is so maligned and other topics including Superman #414, Batman #386, Amazing Spider-Man #263 and Uncanny X-Men #200. An episode that features a Crisis On Infinite Earths tie-in, the introduction of a new villain, [...]

The 1980’s retrospective marches on with more of comics finest including Superman and Superboy switching minds in Superman #380, Batman facing a mandroid Dick in Batman #356, an enraged Vulture out for revenge in Amazing Spider-Man #240 and Professor X being a jerk in Uncanny X-Men #168.

It’s the start of an all-new era when Hey Kids, Comics is rebooted and set in the 1980’s! What is the future that is now the past, like? Well, it’s not really that different to be honest, Micheal & Andrew still witter on about comics. This week, it’s all about [...]

Nearly 4 years ago, inspired by a podcast called “Get Off Your Ass & Make A Podcast”, 2 blithering idiots instead chose to sit on their ass and make a podcast and turned talking bollocks into an art form. Here is the 200th episode of that podcast.

It’s the 199th episode and to celebrate Micheal and Andrew do what they always do – talk about comics. Tangentially still hanging around the 90’s, they read the 4 part Marvel Vs DC crossover and argue a lot over the battles within. So, clear away 100 minutes and get into [...]

Tangential questions of how former Hercules actor Kevin Sorbo ended up on an island of cannibals aside, Micheal & Andrew take a trip to the seedier side of espionage. Meet VELVET TEMPLETON, she used to be a spy. Yes, one of Image Comics finest new books is poured over, largely [...]
