Grief, loss, and suffering are inevitable. What does it look like for Christians to walk with God through terribly hard things? My dear friend, Sarah Lowry, and I talk through her personal story of grief and she shares from the Word and her own life how she has walked with God in the midst of grief by staying anchored in the Word of God. Sarah Lowry's Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients:
1 cup butter-flavored Crisco
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 T. milk
1 t. vanilla
1 t baking soda
1 t salt
2 1/4 cup AP flour
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 375 F
2. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl and set aside.
3. Combine Crusco, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla in electric mixer. Beat until creamy, scraping bowl as needed. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add T of milk. Gradually add flour mixtre, beating at low speed after each addition.. Stur in chips by hand.
4. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfulls onto a lined cookie sheet. Bake 9-11 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool 10 min on cookie sheet then serve warm.
Cookies turn out better if dough is chilled overnight.
