Austin and Stephanie Polly have a truly amazing story. They met through a shared love of the Lord and both have a passion for sharing His message. Stephanie started baking and selling Whoopie Pies a couple years ago and the business has taken off. They both have an entrepreneurial mindset and unique way of solving problems. Austin and Stephanie live in Port Angeles and absolutely love the community of family and friends they have made. It was really fun to hear their story. Dexter Tedrick is one of today’s youngest entrepreneurs, coming out the gate at 14 years old with his 3D printing business and selling some of the most intricate designs. He prints all of the creatures himself and takes great pride in his work. When he is not busy with school or work Dexter has many other interests that keep him busy. Here is a refreshing look into the mind of this young guy!

Coach Sam brings an energy and aura into a room the moment he walks in. He is known as a coach, husband, father, brother, friend, and believer. Everything in his life he owes to God for guiding him on the path that he is on. He is not originally born in Port Angeles but makes home on the peninsula and loves it. He coached Port Angeles High School football for a season before going all in on the YAC Program. We were thankful and blessed to have the opportunity to sit down with Coach Sam.

Some people are gifted with abilities that are hard to quantify. Steven Pelayo is one of those people. Although, if anyone can quantify it and put it all together in a concise and interesting presentation that person is Steven Pelayo. Steven has a lot of passion for Port Angeles and it is great that he puts so much effort into making it a better place. He is part of various organizations that all have a similar mission of making Port Angeles a better community for everyone. We are truly lucky that Steven decides to put his efforts into the community as much as he does!

It is impossible to talk about the success of the Peninsula College athletic program without talking about Rick Ross. He has been such an integral part of building and maintaining the program. When he isn’t at the college he can be found walking with his wife, traveling with his family, and just enjoying everything that the peninsula has to offer. We really enjoyed our time with Rick and felt lucky to be able to spend time with him.

Steven is one of the sharpest tax professionals on the Peninsula. He is a true professional that takes pride in mastering his craft. You would be hard pressed to find a person that is more knowledgeable about the tax code than him. What tops it all off is that he is also so conversational and great to chat with! We enjoyed our time with Steven and were thankful he took time away from helping people with small, medium, and large tax problems.

It was so fun to sit down and chat with Ken and Heidi Simpson! They have been part of the Port Angeles community for a long, long time. They put their heart and soul into helping Port Angeles through a variety of ways. They are pivotal members of the Port Angeles Lions Club, help with the ski team at Hurricane Ridge, help with Model United Nations, all while running a family business that helps people with their electricity at a time when they need it most. You can always find them at the Clallam County Fair in the depths of the corn dog sales and are constantly supporting different community endeavors through sponsorships and volunteering.

We had such a wonderful conversation with Carmen Geyer! Listening to her story should inspire you! There isn’t really a social club that she is not part of in Port Angeles. She is constantly helping and volunteering and pours her heart and soul into the community. She keeps busy and loves spending time with her husband out in nature. They enjoy running together with the running club that she started where she helps people meet their fitness goals and participate in different races. She is a fun, energetic, passionate force that brings people together to accomplish amazing things. She is a proud Rotarian and Kiwanian, having served as president for both organizations. So impressive!!!

We had the opportunity to meet with Jen Swanson and learn more about her, her family, and her involvement in the community with a lot of the work she does with First Fed and the Kiwanis, amongst other groups. Her family has been around the peninsula for a long time and they are all active in helping making Port Angeles an awesome place!
