Loise Machira is the Founder of Tizi Talks; a health and wellness blog that advocates for enjoyable healthy living and empowerment through fitness. Her blog was nominated for two awards by the Bloggers Association of Kenya in 2019 and was appointed as the 1st Global Wellness Day Ambassador for Kenya in the same year by Global Wellness Day Organisation to spearhead the celebrations of wellness in Kenya. This is a non-profit initiative that seeks to make the world a healthier and happier place by making living well a reality for all. Through her appointment, Kenya officially joined 180 countries in the annual celebrations which take place every second Saturday of June.
Loise is a trained advocate of the high court and currently works as a policy, digital strategy and impact assessment consultant in both the mental health and climate change sector. She is also a certified mental health advocate under the World Health Organisation and in this capacity, she has lobbied for inclusive policies in parliament including the current Mental Health Amendment Act 2022, that was recently passed by the former president of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta. She is deeply passionate about personal development, creating positive impact in communities and uplifting the voices of those who are marginalized in society.
