In Isaiah 36, the fierce King Sennacherib conquers all of Judah's cities and then surrounds Jerusalem. Sennacherib has overthrown many cities and nations whose gods did not save them. King Hezekiah of Jerusalem goes to God in prayer and asks for deliverance. God dramatically answers Hezekiah's prayer and Sennacherib is forced to retreat.
