This is part 3 of our Hispanic Heritage Month Series that takes us through A Beer Brewing Journey.
With all the Oktoberfest celebrations, there’s no better way to start the month of October than to talk about beer! In this episode, we get to meet an incredible husband and wife duo paving their way in the beer industry. They share their journey of building their beer brewing brand from the ground up, a journey that has been on-going for more than 8 years and a journey they’ve learned a lot from personally and professionally.
Ghost Eye Brewing Company is a small, up-and-coming brewery in Texas making beer with love, wit and grit. Their brand is fun-loving, great-tasting and unique, taking pride in their Caribbean roots and bringing one-of-a-kind flavors to the beer industry by “Staying Breezy”.
Russell Rodriguez is owner and head-brewer of Ghost Eye. Native to Puerto Rico, Russell has also spent years as a mortgage professional with a specialty in loss mitigation and has deep understanding of private and government sponsored loan programs. While helping people keep their properties, he also brewed at home and with different professional breweries to help acquire the experience and knowledge needed to make Ghost Eye Brewery a reality.
Krizia Rodrigez is owner and manager of Ghost Eye. She is originally from St. Croix, USVI but moved to Puerto Rico at a young age. She is the backbone of Ghost Eye Brewing, an incredible multi-tasker who has helped organize, schedule, mitigate and help process all finances along with helping design and bring creative ideas to the table for the brewery. Her 15 years experience as a teacher has been foundational in helping spring-board the brewery and helping it scale throughout the years.
