This year, Latina Equal Pay Day was on October 5th.
According to the most recent data, Latinas, despite being one of the fastest growing and most educated groups in the country, make $0.52 to the dollar in comparison to their white, male counterparts.
Furthermore, a new analysis conducted by the National Women’s Law Center found that Latinas stand to lose more than $1.2 million over a 40-year career due to the wage gap and for those with a professional degree, the gap widens to $2.5 million over their career.
