As Christians, we need a firm foundation of what we believe and why. We need to always "be ready always to answer anyone who asks us to explain the hope we have in us." (1 Peter 3:15)
In Matthew chapter 6 and Luke chapter 11, Jesus gave us a model by which we could follow when we pray. "in this manner, pray therefore." Jesus didn't want this prayer to be a "catch all", one we repeat over and over, in place of a meaningful prayer life. Our prayers should be made up of the different parts of the prayer Jesus modeled for us.

Repentance; Repentance is a commitment to turn away from sin in every area of our lives and to follow Christ. Through repentance we receive forgiveness of our sins
The Apostle Paul & his companion Silas were imprisoned through no fault of their own, yet they were commanded to be set free. They came out of the situation victorious. Why? Here are three (3) things they did that brought their release. (Part III)
