Imagine being asked to sacrifice the only son you have, after waiting years just for him to be more than an idea! Still going through with it, Abraham blessed many of the next generations by his faith and obedience to God, after talking to a friend of mine about intuition... it seems that Abraham was led by that when including the assumption that he did not have the full reasoning to why we can be obedient and still come back down the mountain with his son.
