Hidden Journeys

Kenny and Charles Ang collaborate together to bring some Advent and Christmas music arrangements from Kenny Ngo’s 2020 Christmas album. They share their versions of O Come O Come Emmanuel, The Birthday of a King, and a song written by Kenny more than 25 years ago. Listen towards the end for a Christmas surprise.

A choir conductor in the Church of St Alphonsus, Rev often comes across as bright and cheerful. Behind that cheerful spirit, is a man who struggles with a fully-disabled spouse, and a son who has mild autism. Rev is currently living alone in Singapore to support his family back in the Philippines. He shares his hidden journey.

Hilda is a full-time caregiver to her husband, Patrick, who has had to have his legs amputated due to diabetes, and also needs dialysis because of kidney problems. Both of them recently recovered from Covid-19. Hilda shares how she keeps faith in God despite her daily struggles.

Patricia recently went for spine surgery, and contracted Covid while recovering in hospital. She shares how her faith saved her, and propelled her to get better, against all odds. She also shares a song she wrote for Jesus during this ordeal.

Juianna is a widow who lost her husband, Patrick, to lung cancer 3 years ago. She shares her struggles, as well as how she tries to be a light for other widows.

Katy is a breast cancer survivor. She shares about her spiritual life, including how she is motivated to read God’s word every day, and live it out in her life.

Melissa was unable to conceive a child because she had fybroids growing outside her uterus. She comes back on Hidden Journeys to update us on her condition, and to reveal the miracle that has happened to her!

Boon Si is a former prison inmate. He shares how he encountered God through a fellow inmate, and has been sober since his release from prison.

Mike and Josephine share about their 16 years of marriage. We also hear Josephine’s perspectives on how she had to deal with Mike’s 2 cancers, and the role she plays in supporting him physically and spiritually.

Susan became a widow when she lost her husband to a plane crash. She shares about how she journeys with other widows. Be edified by some amazing stories that they've shared as they find strength to cope.
