Hiding In Plain Sight

In this penultimate episode of this first series exploring Christianity, I examine the actions of Jesus as he travels around like homeless charity worker and I try to discover what it inspires modern believers to do in their community. I pull an all-nighter with my local Street Pastors and I try and understand what motivates people to action. I soon find out there is Five Letter idea at the centre of it all.

As my journey continues, I find one of the first ever images of Jesus anywhere on earth and through examining the opening of his ministry I start to explore some new ways of thinking and realise it is more controversial and demanding than I ever realised.

In this truly Christmas Special, you can join me, a non believer, as I pick up the bible to read the actual Christmas story in an attempt to discover more about the God behind it and what meaning can be found in his arrival on earth over 2000 years ago.

In this second episode, I explore prayer at home and at church and try and connect with the God of the Bible even tho I suspect he isn't there. I try confession and both High and Low church traditions with some surprising results that challenge me in ways I didn't expect. Join me as I aim to discover what is Hiding In Plain Sight.

In this first episode, I explore why some people decide to turn their lives upside down to become Christians and I start my own journey as a non-believer. I am not a Christian but after talking with people who have become one my interest has peaked and I need to see if there is meaning in this previously overlooked religion. Join me as I take my first trip to church and meet with Christians in my town and see what is Hiding In Plain Sight.

In this first series running up to Christmas and into the new year, I will be sharing with you my experience of Christianity. The silence and noise of living like a believer, through church with Christians and at home alone with my thoughts and prayers. You are invited in to listen alongside me throughout my journey as I engage with it up close and for real. I don’t believe in God, and I am not looking to be converted if lightning strikes me so be it, but that is not my intention. My instinct tells me there is meaning in the forgotten and overlooked, the ordinary things that I walk past every day or maybe don’t even recognise. I am hoping the lives of others may unlock wisdom and open a window into something previously unfound. Something that was there all along maybe, something, hiding in plain sight

The silence and noise of living like a believer, through the church with Christians and at home alone with my thoughts and prayers. You are invited to sit alongside me throughout my journey as I engage with it up close and for real. I don't believe in God, and I am not looking to be converted if lightning strikes me so be it, but that is not the point.
