Bernardo bangs heads with Mahalena and Jack, as the deadline approaches to finally tap the ancient power of the jade artifact, and merge this mysterious Mayan dimension into Bernardo’s mood-manipulation system.

While Mahalena and Jack try to perform the unpredictable jade-phallus ceremony, they’re captured by her brother Bernardo’s henchman Quemado – and flown in his private helicopter over to the secret lab compound.

Emerging from a dank tunnel, Jack finds himself forced to confront Alehandro, the old-order brujo of the lake – who is determined to sacrifice Jack in order to become Nokalito and do ceremony with Mahee.

In seriously dangerous circumstances, Abierta refuses to tap into the power of the jade phallus. Instead she transfers this ultimate challenge directly onto Mahalena – who feels dumbfounded and temporarily powerless.

Putting on a local native disguise, Jack nervously boards the mailboat for Santiago Atitlan, where he is grabbed by threatening locals, then led into the presence of Mahee’s grandmother and spiritual teacher – Abierta.

Mahee disappears again, leaving Jack in bliss – until he realizes the very real danger he’s now in. He phones his mom and his ex-wife, then slips into a sudden deep mystic revelation.

Escaping back to the hot springs by boat, Jack encounters a mysterious ancient hermit, throws the jade phallus into deep water – then makes wild love with Mahalena.

Realizing just how dangerous and real Bernardo’s psych-tech takeover plot is, Jack tries to talk sense into Ursula – then gets roughed up by a weird CIA guy and a government cop.
