This week on the show I interview one of my favorite comedians and a guy I really look up to in the world of comedy. I call Jimmy Dunn(@jimmydunncomedy) "Comedy Varitek" after the former Red Sox captain, because he's such a mentor to myself and many others. Jimmy has recently starred in the CBS sitcom "The McCarthy's", appeared on Letterman, and in the past he's been a local celebrity in New England for his famous "Olympia Sports" taxi driver commercials. Despite all this, Jimmy has remained the cool, down to earth guy he's always been and has often looked out for younger comics like myself. This is a great 2 HOUR interview that contains TONS of cool information about Jimmy, The McCarthy's, television, comedy, and also contains a sneak preview of Jimmy's upcoming album.

Ray Harrington (@RayHarrington) had already accomplished a lot as a young comedian (becoming a headliner and releasing an album "The Worst Is Over" on Stand Up! Records) when he decided to try his hand at becoming a documentary filmmaker and his own subject. The result is "Be A Man", a film Ray decided to make after finding out what he was going to be a father to a son, and the focus is on himself, a comedian raised by women without a male influence, figuring out what it takes to "be a man" before his kid is born. We discuss the process of that and other comedian related stuff.

This week the podcast has two parts. In the first I interview national headliner Dan Smith (@dansmith). Recorded in the back of the historical Nick's Comedy Stop (@nicksboston) in Boston. As well as regularly opening for Bill Burr and Bob Saget, Dan has performed all over the world, including for the US military and has written for Us Magazine Fashion Police and the awesome TV Show "Blind Date".

In the second part, I drive to a mysterious gig at a Synagogue where I'm opening for a vocal impressionist for a crowd of about 150 elderly Jewish women. Needless to say, I bombed pretty good and I recorded the brutality and included all the best bits so you can laugh at my pain. It's a good one.
