How to set goals that get done no matter what. I  started doing this when I had 60 days to find a job or I would have to leave the USA and go back to jamaica with a degree that would be useless (and expensive)

What does a successful artist look like? Full fridge? Lamborghini? Maybe, if that's what you want. In this episode, we go through a few thoughts on what success really means if you're on the Right Brain Hemisphere.

Spoiler Alert: You can't be 100% original and make a living. Just like you won't win the lottery. Are there winners? Sure. But you're not going to bet your life on it. So don't. When it comes to making artwork that you want to use to make you a living, artwork that connects, is relatable and has an emotional history with the audience seems to work best.

This is going to be the start of a new series "Creativity Secrets" based on a really cool book I read years ago. I decided to adapt it to the creative market and share what I learned from the book. 

Creative people are hella smart. I am not religious but I give God a little smack talk in this one (it involves Leonardo Da Vinci) but we're still on good terms.  We also give YouTube a bit of shit too :)

Grunts, groans, and cries of pain. The gym is its own world, really. So what could I possibly learn about art by watching sweaty, muscle-y guys lifting more weight than I can shake a stick at?

Some memories from my life in Los Angeles and what I learned from seeing a coffee shop filled to the brim with a certain type of people. 

In the not so distant future, a kid will finally break the good news to their parents. "I want to be an artist!". The mother's eyes open wide, her face breaks into a full-blown smile showing almost all her teeth and a tear starts to form on the lids of her eyes. Her kid's going to do great things. 

A few years ago everything changed. I was going through the roughest points of my life. Staring me dead in the eye was the painfully real possibility of going back to the country that I came from with a degree that would be worthless... My passion burned brighter than ever before but the weight of crushing sadness and desperation almost drove me off the edge.
