It’s been a long road, and if I’m honest, there were moments I wasn’t sure I’d make it here. High Plains Pundit has always been my labor of love—a place to offer honest, common-sense insight into culture, politics, and the news of the day. Founded in 2009, my vision was simple: peel away the narratives, get past the talking points, and give readers an unvarnished look at what’s really going on.

But life has a way of forcing you to rethink everything. The past few years have been a personal reckoning—a period of struggle, reflection, and ultimately, transformation. Today, I want to share with you that journey, and the changes it has inspired for High Plains Pundit, both personally and professionally.

I’ve gone back and forth for a while about how much of this story to tell and how personal to get. I’ve always believed in being direct, honest, and grounded in common sense, but this is different. This isn’t a hot take or a political argument. This is my life over the last couple of years, and the reality is that it changed me in ways I never expected.

After 17 years, we are discontinuing the High Plains Pundit website.

Over the past 17 years, the website has published provocative insight and honest commentary that many others were unwilling to touch. We’ve peeled away narratives, gone beyond talking points, and tried to tell people what’s really going on—without telling them what to think. That mission hasn’t changed, and it never will.

But the way we deliver that mission is changing.
