Before there was a cross… before there was a tomb… before there was even a garden in Eden… there was a Seed.

Jesus wasn’t God’s backup plan—He was always the plan. The Lamb slain before the foundation of the world. Redemption was already in motion before the first sin was ever committed. And when Jesus said “unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone,” He wasn’t just talking about death—He was talking about resurrection.

This Easter, we step into the garden again—not just to witness a moment, but to remember a movement. From Gethsemane’s crushing to the garden tomb’s awakening, Jesus was planted in pain and raised in power. What looked like burial was actually a beginning.

And the wildest part? The garden didn’t stop growing.

Resurrection isn’t just what happened—it’s what’s happening. That same Spirit that raised Jesus is now in us. He’s still calling names. Still rolling stones. Still turning graves into gardens. The Seed is still producing fruit—through you, through me, through every broken place being made beautiful again.

The story of Easter is the story of Jesus—and it’s also the story of us. Because the Garden Still Grows.

We love a crowd. The noise, the praise, the energy. But Jesus didn’t ride into Jerusalem just to soak up the celebration—He came to be planted. In this episode of Growing in the Garden, we look at Palm Sunday through a different lens: not just the triumphal entry, but the steps that led from public affirmation to private surrender.

Jesus didn’t come to overthrow Rome—He came to overcome sin. And before there was a cross, there was a garden. Gethsemane wasn’t just a stop on the way to Calvary. It was the place of pressure, surrender, and preparation.

The crowd wanted a king. Jesus chose to be a seed.

In week 2 of Growing in the Garden, we look at Jesus’ words in Mark 4:30–32, where He describes the Kingdom of God as a mustard seed—small and seemingly insignificant, but once planted, it becomes greater than all.

Everything in God’s Kingdom starts as a seed. That means you, your life, your calling—it all begins small. But the seed can’t grow unless it’s planted. Too many people want fruit without roots. They want maturity without commitment. But maturity doesn’t happen until you stay—planted, covered, unseen, and rooted.

God is the Master Gardener, and He knows the soil you need. When you stay planted in His presence and His house, you begin to grow—not just for your sake, but for the people your life will one day cover. You weren’t planted to be popular—you were planted to bear fruit.

We walk through what it really takes to grow in God’s garden: the condition of your heart, the watering of the Word, the fire of His Spirit, spiritual alignment, pruning, community, and pastoral protection.

You don’t grow on accident. You grow on purpose. And when you stay planted, God gets the glory.

You were created to grow. Period.

But here’s the truth—we’ve built a culture that’s too comfortable with spiritual laziness. This message is a wake-up call: growth means movement, and movement starts with being planted—not just attending church, but actually being rooted in the presence of God and the fellowship of His people.

Psalm 92:13 says, “Those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish…” Planted means committed. Grounded. Not hopping from soil to soil whenever growth gets uncomfortable.

This week, we look at the garden where it all began. God didn’t create the garden—He planted it. Why? Because He was laying out a Kingdom principle: everything starts with a seed. And a seed only grows when it’s planted in the right soil.

God is the Master Gardener, and He knows exactly where you need to be planted so you can grow into who He created you to be. Even Jesus said the Kingdom of God is like a mustard seed—small at first, but full of unstoppable potential.

So here’s the challenge: stop waiting to grow, and start planting yourself. In the church. In Christ. In community. Your seed has destiny in it—but destiny only shows up when the seed gets buried in good soil.
