HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL: Flying Dutchmen handle weather better

Cold, harsh winds raged at more than 30 mph last Friday in southwest Minnesota. In the end, Edgerton/Southwest Minnesota Christian handled the conditions better than Pipestone Area Schools in a 22-9 victory at A’s/City Field. Such substandard weather continued early into the new week, bringing about more canceled games for both schools. The Flying Dutchmen (12-5) were scheduled to play Dawson-Boyd and the Arrows (8-11) had Tracy-Milroy-Balaton on the docket, but rain Monday shelved them both.
