RUTHTON — Now this was a shrewd scheduling move. Both the Pipestone Area Schools and Russell-Tyler-Ruthton baseball teams agreed to move up their game to Monday, March 30 to take advantage of the mild and windy conditions. The Knights dispatched the Arrows, 11-1, in a game reduced to five innings due to the state-mandated mercy rule. “The guys were itching to play a game,” RTR head coach Danny Moffitt said. Moffitt said he wanted to see how the Knights would fare both hitting and fielding. RTR looked very much like the team that was the 2025 Class A consolation champion....
