The Pipestone Area Schools’ football team recalled the 2025 season during a special awards program in the high school commons on Tuesday, Nov. 18. PAS head football coach Scott Boomgaarden served as the master of ceremonies. “We’ve got the axe,” Boomgaarden proudly proclaimed after the Arrows downed rival Luverne 20-16 on Sept. 26 thanks to a pivotal late fumble recovery from Xavier Banjoko and Austin Musch’s 57-yard TD run in the fourth quarter. “It was the highlight of the year,” Boomgaarden said. “That was probably the most fun I’ve had coaching.
