    It created a back-and-forth situation on Twitter with followers of Carman, a five-star recruit, and Herbstreit, a former Ohio State quarterback and Centerville High School product.
    Herbstreit defended his criticism of Carman on ESPN Radio Thursday afternoon and elaborated on the situation.
    Carman told Spectrum Sports the original intent of his tweet was simply he wanted redshirt freshman quarterback Dwayne Haskins to get time in a game; Carman said it was nothing against senior J.T. Barrett.
    Harden, an Ohio State fan, took umbrage in Herbstreit’s comments about Carman and joined the WCPO High School Insider Podcast this week to explain his perspective on the situation.
