LAKE CRYSTAL — The Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial softball team finished as consolation runner-up in Minnesota State High School League’s Class AA last year. So Pipestone Area Schools knew it would be a tall task to compete with the Knights. LCWM swept PAS in the season-opening doubleheader for both schools, blanking the Arrows in Game One, 7-0, and taking Game Two, 11-6. Jadyn Kor and Avery Reinhard split time inside the circle during Game One. Reinhard fared better, allowing just one hit in three innings while recording one strikeout.
