Kindred Vikings head football coach Matthew Crane and West Fargo Sheyenne head football coach Jeremy Newton join Chase Miller on Prep's Spotlight.
Crane enters his fourth season as the head coach for Kindred. The Vikings have made the playoffs in the first three years with Crane at the helm.
In 2015 and 2016, Kindred played in Class AA and made the Dakota Bowl in 2016, while last year competing in Class A, the Vikings lost to Langdon Area/Edmore/Munich in the opening round of the playoffs.
Kindred (1-1 overall) will host Oak Grove (1-1 overall) on Friday night at 7 on 104.7 Duke FM.
Newton (10:15) previews West Fargo Sheyenne's matchup with the West Fargo Packers. Sheyenne is looking for their first win against West Fargo in program history in football.
The Mustangs are 21-10 the past three seasons and have advanced to the playoffs the last three years.
West Fargo will host West Fargo Sheyenne on Friday at 7 p.m. on 740 The Fan and 107.3 FM.

Norstedt recaps the first weekend of 9-man football in North Dakota and teams to lookout for in high school football across the state.
Midco will cover Minot @ West Fargo on Friday, August 24th at 7 p.m.
Feeney (18:30 into podcast) returns for his 9th season on the sideline for the Spuds. Moorhead finished 6-3 last season and returns 9 starters. The Spuds open the year against Class 5A runners up Elk River on Friday, August 31st from Jim Gotta Stadium.
The West Fargo Packers won the North Dakota Class 3A championship last season and finished 12-0 overall on the year. Gibson (31:20 into podcast) explains who will replace quarterback Andy Gravdahl, after he won the North Dakota Gatorade Player of the Year last year.
The Packers had four players who won Player of the Year in their respective sport and they all played for the football team last year.
Jared Franek won for wrestling, Joe Pistorius for basketball and Jake Faircloth for baseball.

The first state tournament will be on Thursday, February 15th - 17th at the Fargodome for wrestling.
