HIGH SCHOOL WRESTLING: Arrows struggle in Big South Conference triangular
JACKSON — Pipestone Area Schools’ junior wrestler Mason Fruechte reached another milestone during a triangular on Thursday, Jan. 15. Fruechte recorded a 20-2 technical fall over Drake Engelby from Blue Earth Area, giving Mason his 75th career victory. It was another step on the rung for this state qualifier. “I’m very impressed with Mason,” PAS head wrestling coach Paul Young said. “He’s gotten bigger, stronger and better in every aspect (of the sport).” Young recalled Mason Fruechte’s earlier days when he barely could make the minimum weight to compete. Now, Mason is flourishing 127-pounder with aspirations of reaching triple-digit wins....
