NEW LONDON — Six of seven Pipestone Area Schools wrestlers earned a spot on the podium at the conclusion of the New London Spicer Invitational Friday, Jan. 17. The meet capped a grueling week with four duals and this bracket-formatted tournament. “I think we wrestled well,” PAS head coach Paul Young said. “But, we could have been better.” Young said the schedule was devised in such a way to make the wrestlers “embrace the grind,” which will help them during the postseason — which is roughly one month away from this edition of the Pipestone County Star.
