Nicholas Cifuentes-Goodbody is associate director of the language center at the University of Southern California. Prior to his position, he lived in Qatar as a professor of translation studies. Nicholas talks about how the underlying foundations of education are different in parts of the world such as the pace of education. USC is overviewing proficiency tests, where they are collecting over several years to view the proficiency of spoken and written language.

Working in college admissions after receiving her bachelor's degree is why Derryce fell in love with an academic environment. She was inspired to teach after she took an undergraduate class called Intercultural Communications. They talk about the struggles of not being on campus when you receive an online.

Jenna Hartwell works at North Carolina State University as the associate director for not one, but two programs in the College of Engineering: Women in Engineering and Minorities in Engineering. Women in Engineering program created a tool workshop for freshman students to learn the tools in engineering to help prepare them for a competition. Another initiative the program has is Dinner in Dialogue that connects students with professionals in engineering. Jenna implemented an intervention based program to help juniors going into their senior year called "The Almost Adulting Symposium," which educates students on loans, budgeting, graduate school, and developing a reputation.
