What better way to end the season than to discuss a topic that’s near and dear to us! We’re getting into our personal journeys with tech and areas of interest while also diving into opportunities for innovation and improvement in tech as it relates to race. And of course we have to take moment to highlight our favorite moments of season 2 and things to come for season 3!

On this episode, we’re continuing the dialogue on racial injustice and accountability/moving forward by exploring the topic of Defunding the Police in order to set the record straight on what it is and isn’t. We also have to take a moment to circle back on what “the ask” is based on the action or lack thereof we’ve been seeing from Corporate America, local governments, and the like.

Given that it is primaries season and we're getting closer and closer to the November elections. A lot of attention is given to the presidential candidates but many times voters neglect to understand the make up and election process of Congress when voting. On this special Juneteenth episode, we are continuing the discussion on the recent events surrounding police brutality, systemic racism, and the black community. We are exploring the different perspectives on what moving forward looks like. We are joined by two friends who add their points of view and perspectives to the discussion.
