Luke 6:24-36 - What sorrow awaits you, but not if you do good to those who hate you - as you are compassionate like the Father is compassionate. The Kingdom reverses everything – even how we treat those who hurt us. The Kingdom of God changes what we value so that we begin reflecting who our Father is.

Luke 6:12-19 - "When they came down from the mountain." After Jesus calls his disciples, they are not set up high and mighty, but they must get down into real life with hurting people. The “calling out” didn’t set the disciples up as high and mighty – it led them to be close to the people. Even a list of names tells us what kind of King Jesus is.
