Many things can make us feel like we just don't belong in life. From mistakes made to feeling like we lack the skill or intelligence to belong. A number of things can easily make us feel forgotten and left out. However we learn that with God we do not have to feel like outsiders. Everyone has an attribute that could make them an outsider but God does not see that. God sees whats inside our hearts and with Him we are all included if we simple follow.

A few weeks ago, our country was shocked when White Supremacists in Charlottesville openly marched the streets, chanting racist and Nazi phrases. When we think about racism and prejudice, this is often what we have in mind: people marching with torches, shouting racial epithets.

The far more prevalent kind of racism though, is the unspoken kind. The kind hidden deep within us that we don’t dare speak about. The kind that’s so entrenched in us we hardly notice its there.

In Luke 4, we are introduced to a Savior who promises to be Good News for all people of all races. But this good news has a way of revealing the hatred, the prejudice and the sin hidden deep within us, the things we don’t talk about. The things left unsaid.
