If there's one thing we can be sure of, trials in life happen. Despite what some attempt to preach, being a Christian does not guarantee that your life will be free of trouble and pain, in fact, very often it's the complete opposite. We also know that although it could be, pain and tribulation are often not punishment for sin.  Finally, we know that all things, which includes all circumstances in our lives - good and bad - are ultimately for God's Glory.

So is there a personal purpose in the Christian going through trials?  Join Pastor Jason as he shows us from God's Word that there are lessons to be learned for all Christians from all circumstances in our lives, culminating in the realization that after all is said and done, when the purpose of our trial is accomplished, Joy Comes in the Morning.

It seems that almost universally the thing that most Christians struggle with the most is having a consistent prayer life.  When we do pray, many times we offer up a memorized or "canned" prayer at dinner or at bedtime, our minds wander during a prayer that's gone on too long on Sunday morning. We're always quick to pray when we're in the middle of a crisis or we need (or want) something. Do we realize how crucial to our sanctification a life full of prayer to God is?

It seems almost as universal that we end our prayers with "In Jesus' Name...Amen". But do we stop and think of what we're actually saying?  To some it's just what we've always said.  To others it's "the magic words" to get what you want, thinking we can manipulate Jesus into giving us what we want by invoking His name. 

The plan of God is set. We aren't going to manipulate Jesus or convince God that He should rethink His plan, and invoking Jesus' name should be very carefully used, not flippantly uttered.

Join Pastor Jason as he tackles these topics and other aspects of prayer, opening up God's Word for the only true guidance on prayer we need.

The life of the Christian should be victorious!  Unfortunately, from our human perspective, victorious doesn't always mean easy.  When looking at the lives of so many of our fathers in the faith, they were definitely victorious in Christ, but when viewed from a human worldview, they were nothing, and personally their lives were often full of pain, rejection, poverty, and persecution.  As Christians, we must understand what living a victorious life really means, peeling back the shallow, unbiblical façade of "health, wealth, and prosperity" and looking at what the Christian life is and isn't, who we are, who the enemy is, and most importantly who Christ is.

There is a lot of confusion these days about so many aspects of what it means to be a "human".  There's no need to go into all of the points of debate in this summary, as we're bombarded with them every day.  One of the wonderful things about being a Christian is that we know beyond a shadow of a doubt that our God is real and His Word is Truth.  In His word we find that in the beginning, God made humans in His image. But what does that mean?
