Jesus gave us three great commandments - Love God, Love our Neighbor, and Love our Brothers and Sisters in Christ. Having covered the first two over the last two weeks, today Pastor Jason is focused on loving our fellow Christians. As Christians, we must look at our Christian walk in all aspects of life, and strive to live for Christ, and like Christ, in every way we can. 

Join Pastor Jason as he shows us not only how to love our fellow Christians, but why this is so important to ourselves, to them, to the church, and to the world.

It's often said that the world is a cold, hard place. Looking at the current world, we see fear, we see anger, we see hatred, we see division. The Christian is called to something different, something better. We are called to first love God then love others. But how, and why?

Join Pastor Jason as he shows us from the Bible, how we are to love others and why we are to love others.

Prior to the service, we had a "mission moment" for our mission month, brought to us by Pastor Chris Kimbro from King's River Worship Center. He spoke on a wonderful Mission headquartered in St. Albans, WV, reaching out to those in need called Community Bridge.

The Christian has been given three "Great" commandments, that sum up the entirety of the Ten Commandments: Love God, Love Others, Love Your Fellow Christian. In this way, we not only show, but demonstrate God's love to a lost and dying world, which we are absolutely called to do. 

But when we live counter to how a Christian is supposed to live, the world sees the hypocrisy between our words and actions, which can severely taint our message of God's love presented through the Gospel message. 

Join Pastor Jason, as he outlines what the Bible has for us with regard to how to live, how to love, and how to avoid the deadly trap of hypocrisy.

Today we celebrated the 74th Anniversary of the founding of Highlawn Baptist Church, in St. Albans, WV. We were "off campus" as it were, at one of our local parks where we could enjoy our church family in a laid back atmosphere...and of course partake in a wonderful potluck spread afterwards!

Two longtime members of our church were asked to give a brief talk about their memories, and Pastor Jason wrapped up the day with his own story of coming to Highlawn, and our place in the community.

The audio is of course, not our norm, and we were battling weather, at one point, removing the audio system due to rain, but let me encourage you to watch and listen, and if possible, to come and be part of our family, if you're looking for a church home full of loving, God honoring people.
