A hike in the lower portions of Orange County’s Trabuco Canyon. A dog friendly location was chosen so that Kinte could come along. He really enjoyed the cool stream on a hot day.

A day hike up Icehouse canyon located above Baldy Village in the SanGabriel Mountains.

A hike organized by the Sierra Sage group to two of the “3 T’s”. The three T’s being Thunder, Telegraph and Timber peaks in the San Gabriel Mountains of Southern California.

Thunder Mountain is actually within the Mt. Baldy Ski Area and is a relatively boring walk up the ski area’s cat tracks. The trail becomes much more interesting after leaving the ski area.

The first official post-COVID hike sponsored by the Sierra Sage Group of south Orange County. A warm day in O’Neill Regional Park but it was good to get out with a special bonus of seeing a few deer near the trail.

A Sierra Sage organized walk in Crystal Cove State Park. Escaping the noise into the park with a nice walk along the beach to the historic cottages and then back to Pelican Point to watch the sun set over Santa Catalina Island.

The Sierra Sage Lion Canyon Falls Hike on November 13, 2019.

9 mile, mostly down hill. A car shuttle hike, starting at Blue Jay Campground and ending at the Candy Store on Ortega Highway. Lunch was at the location of Lion Canyon Falls, dry this time of year.
