Your faith should positively impact the people you choose to invest in. If this is not the case, you need to keep growing your faith because we’re meant to cultivate relationships that either shepherd or shape. 

Have you considered that it’s possible to know the Bible, but not truly know Jesus? It’s important to both plant the Word in your mind, and to root yourself in habits that point to Jesus all life long, so that you can have a relationship with Him.

Renewing our minds is both a spiritual command and a biological possibility.  Since we can’t always trust our mind and inner voice, it’s important to be consistent in planting Scripture in our mind, as the Word reflects the person of God, who we know to be eternal, holy, and trustworthy.    

Every year, we have a giant celebration to thank God for all the amazing things He did during the Great Adventure! We engage in worship, hear stories of life-change, and praise God for how powerfully He moved. And, today, we’ll also cheer on those being baptized.  

The design and work of God is set loose for His purpose in the world by those who follow Him. That’s why it’s important to know and use your spiritual gifts in a way that glorifies God beyond the church walls. If you don’t know your spiritual gifts, discover them, so that you can more positively impact other with the life-changing love of Jesus.    

God has uniquely wired each of us to be a part of the body of Christ. He has a purpose He wants to accomplish, He has a plan to achieve that purpose, and He calls each of us — individually — to participate in those plans. How will you answer the call?   

Ephesians 4 says the church is built up when each part is working properly. And we each have a special role to play because God has given each of us unique  gifts, resources, and passions to help build up the church. Consider how and where you can use your gifts to be a part of the body.

Do you know your unique giftings from God? If not, there might be obstacles in your way, such as you’re not convinced that you’re gifted, not everyone sees the world the way your gifting does, and/or you like the idea, but don’t know how. At the end of this series, we’ll talk about an online tool to help you because it’s important to know and use our gifts in the world.

Do you know that God gives each of us spiritual gifts, which are to be honed and used for the good of others? If you don’t know your special and specific gifts, we encourage you to both identify and activate them, as God has plans and purposes for each of us.

We believe that the church at-large, not just Hill Country, is doing great work. So, we invite you to pause for a moment to ask how you’re involved and engaged. The Church sets the design and Person of God in every believer, sets the work of God through us to every believer, and sets the design and work of God loose in our world. Where are you in this?
