After preaching this morning I just wanted to share a small correction to something I said in passing, secondly some questions that might be helpful to ask yourselves or within your small groups as you reflect on the message.
Firstly I mentioned that God hears all of our prayers but then I followed up with that he answers some of them. That is incorrect, sorry about that, God answers every prayer! Sometimes the answer is a yes, sometimes its a no or even a wait, but when we remember that prayer is talking to God, His answers can be part of a conversation! We all make mistakes, and here was one of mine! I really appreciate those who picked up on it, its a good thing to be reminded of the truth!
Secondly those questions:
As we have read most of Luke 4, what bits stand out to you with regard to the Trinity of God, the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit?
Where do we see the Word and deed expressed, both in this chapter and in our lives?
Do we notice that Jesus retreats to be alone with God frequently, how are we going connecting with God?
In our prayer life, is the reality of spiritual evil acknowledged just like in the Lords Prayer?
How are we responding to the power and authority that Jesus has?
Finally I really hope that this painting helped us understand the principalities and powers that we are fighting against!
